On 20th December 2022, Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, Dean of Al-Mustaqbal University College, received His Excellency Spain’s Ambassador to Iraq, Mr. Pedro Martinez-Avial Martin. In a meeting convened between the two parties, several issues have been widely discussed, including the activation of Spanish Language Teaching Centres, enhancement of cooperation with Spanish Universities in the Academic and Engineering Fields, in addition to training Academics & Students of Al-Mustaqbal University College in Spain.
Besides, the Dean has presented an introductory overview of the College and its Specializations, being Ranked First among the Iraqi Private Colleges & Universities in the International Classifications. Prof Majdi has expressed as well the College inclination to develop prospects for cooperation through exchange of visits and experiences.
For his part, Ambassador Avial has been enthusiast to activate Cultural Cooperation Programs and establishing strong links with Spanish Institutions to train young people and develop their skills and knowledge, and thus enabling them to secure job opportunities in the areas of constructing Railways, Stadiums, Renewable Energy, Tele-Communications and others. It is remarkable to note that Iraq now is on the verge of an urban and service renaissance, and therefore, it is in need of skilled engineers, as well as founding Spanish Language Teaching Centres, as Spanish is considered the second globally language spoken in the world.
After that the Guest has been taken in a tour through the College. He has been highly impressed with the Urban Development, Students' Enthusiasm, Gender Equality among Students, Contribution of Female Academics and Employees at work, and thus reflecting to the outside world high confidence in the stability and security of Iraq.

An essential part of appreciation, Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, Dean of Al-Mustaqbal University College has honored his Guest with Symbolic Memorial Shields reflecting Ancient Babylon: Ishtar Gate & the Obelisk of Hammurabi. Finally, at the end of the visit, the two parties have agreed on future meetings in order to implement what has been settled between them
