As per the directives of Assist. Prof. Dr. Azher M. Abid, Head of Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineering Department, and through the Renewable Energy Team, a solar energy system has been installed on the roofs of the Scientific Building at Al-Mustaqbal University College with a capacity of 5 kilowatts for the purpose of supplying electricity to a number of Administrative Units during the day, in addition to operating the lighting of the College exterior and the camera system during the night.
It is considerable to note that the main objective behind this pioneering project is to achieve SDG7, which is related to using clean and affordable energy sources.
