A hands-on scientific experiment was recently conducted in the Department of Communication Engineering Technologies under the title: Half Wave Rectifier and Full Wave Rectifier with Central Tap Transformer, one of the cornerstone experiments in Electronics and Communication Systems. The experiment focused on demonstrating how an alternating current (AC) signal is transformed into a direct current (DC) signal, while clearly highlighting the practical and performance differences between half-wave and full-wave rectifiers in terms of operation and output efficiency. The session was delivered by Engineer Hadeer Salim Kamil, who combined clear theoretical explanations with real-time laboratory implementation, creating an engaging learning environment that strengthened students’ practical understanding and bridged the gap between theory and application. The experiment was carried out under the supervision of the course lecturer Assist. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Kazem Rahma. Al-Mustaqbal First University in Iraq
