Under the patronage of the respected President of Al-Mustaqbal University, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ammar Abbas Al-Husseini, Dean of the College of Law, the College of Law, in cooperation with the Center for Continuing Education, held a scientific symposium delivered by Dr. Ali Jassim Al-Saadi, entitled: “The Legal Regulation of Women's Right to Leave in the Iraqi Labor Law,” on Monday, April 13, 2025.<br />The symposium addressed the legislative aspects related to the rights of working women to various types of leave, particularly maternity leave, sick leave, and childbirth leave, as guaranteed under Iraqi Labor Law No. (37) of 2015. It also discussed the extent to which these legislations align with international conventions and the challenges faced in their practical implementation.<br />The event was attended by a number of faculty members and students of the college. A fruitful academic discussion enriched the session and highlighted the importance of developing legal policies that balance the protection of working women and the demands of the labor market.<br />Al-Mustaqbal University — the top university in Iraq.
